"BREATHE EASY" Diagnosing and Treating Asthma in the Field

Completing this course will give students the ability to define Asthma and be able to identify the physiological effects that occur during an attack. the course also teaches how to perform a thorough assessment of patients with difficulty breathing and how to accurately diagnose and treat those suffering from Asthma. Students will be given an understanding of special considerations to be given to infants and children with asthma, and scenario based examples will provide the student the opportunity to act out situations involving patients suffering from an attack.

EnrollThe class requires a completion score of at least 70%. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of completion and 2 hours of continuous education credits.


Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Students will be able to determine the various events that occur during acute respiratory distress, as well as identify the different structures within the lungs. Upon completion, students will identify the signs and symptoms of ARDS and correctly assess those symptoms, so they can apply appropriate treatments.

EnrollSuccessful completion is a grade of 70% or higher. Students will be given a certificate of completion and 2 CEC hours.
