Sickle Cell Crisis- What You Should Know

This course teaches students the demographics of Sickle Cell within the United States and the factors that contribute to those with the disease. It explains the complications that can arise due to the disease and how a healthcare professional should interview, assess, and treat patients Sickle Cell vaso-occlusive crisis (VOC).

EnrollAfter completing the course with a grade of at least 70%, the student will receive 2 hours of continuing education credit and a certificate of completion.


Suicide and The Medically Ill

This course outlines the problems with medically ill patients in regards to the occurrences of suicide within them. Students will also learn the psychological and biological risk factors in suicide patients and examine behavioral patterns among suicidal patients. After, being educated thoroughly in these aspects, students will be able to apply their knowledge when responding to events involving medically ill and suicidal patients.

EnrollStudents will receive a certificate of completion and 5 credit hours of CECs after passing the course with a 70% or higher grade.


Type II Diabetes Mellitus

After completing this class, students will understand the pathophysiology and chronic complications of Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Students will then learn about new treatment modalities as well as recent studies and about detecting and managing Type II Diabetes Mellitus.

EnrollStudents that complete this course with a passing grade will be given a certificate of completion and 3 continuing education hours.
