Preventing & Managing Dehydration in The Elderly Dehydration in the elderly is one of the most common ailments seen in geriatric patients. This course outlines some of the outcomes of dehydration in elderly patients, as well as how to identify normal and abnormal hydration. It describes the risk factors that make the elderly vulnerable to dehydration and teaches the student the different methods needed to assess and treat dehydration.
