California Nursing and Healthcare Schools

The state of California is one of the most populated states in this country. The states fast growing population has considerably increased and will continue to progressively grow at an accelerated rate. California already has a huge demand for Professional health care workers and this problem will consistently increase due to the inpouring of immigrants from Mexico and other remote areas. Our goal is to promote the health and well being of a growing and increasingly diverse generation.

Qualified, Trained Professional Nurses and other Professional Health Care Providers are severely needed to help provide quality care to all the residents in California. There is a tremendous shortage of health care workers in the state of California and this issue must be addressed! Currently more than 40 % of health care jobs are vacant in California and this number will continue to rise. By hiring qualified individuals to fill these positions, California can overcome this serious problem and bring some absolution to the states community health care concerns.

The California Health Care Association and the California Registered Nurses Association has reported that California has the lowest ratio of Registered Nurses of any state in the country. California recently enacted a law mandating specific ratio of nurses to patients. Nurses are required to spend 3.2 hours a day with nursing home patients; this has created even more shortages in health care workers among the state especially in the field of nursing and in nursing home facilities...

Attempting to fix the health care solution in California must start with education and training to build and recruit more individuals into the health care fields. Governor Schwarzenegger introduced the California Nurses Education Initiative to help fund training in these necessary health care fields. There is currently 90 million dollars contributed to assisting health care employers, employees, facilities, educators and universities to expand nursing education and recruiting quality instructors.

Salaries are competitive in all areas of the health care fields in California. Factors such as experience, location, facilities and other issues can determine the variance of income. Currently job openings per year in the areas of health care are exceedingly great.
